How Fatigue Is Measured

The Cross Cancer Institute measures fatigue based on the following system:
  1. Mild able to continue normal activity
  2. Change in normal activity (bed rest less than 50% waking hours)
  3. In bed/chair more than 50% waking hours
  4. Bed ridden or unable to care for oneself
Yesterday I spent the most of the day in bed ... in and out of sleep. This was the first time I spent so much time in bed ... because of the chemo. I was definitely #3.

I was thinking I better find out what is out there for support ... in case I get to #4 and need some help.

My first impression for today is that I feel the ‘clouds’ have lifted and my head feels clearer. I think the worst is over. Thank you ... thank you ... thank you.

Thank you is right.

Chemo takes a lot out of you. Don't push yourself.

Hello,
As per your comment on looking for support so that you do not get to #4, what have you found in the community thus far? thanks,
FJ

FJ,

I haven't done much looking cause I'm still pooped from the chemo.

When I'm feeling better I will start by stopping by the Cancer Institute and see what they recommend.

I'll be sure to post what I find.

Thanks,
Daria
