According to the website, The SCAR Project is a series of large-scale portraits of young breast cancer survivors shot by fashion photographer David Jay.
The pictures are all of women between the ages 18 and 35. All the ladies are topless and bear the physical scars of breast cancer.

Thanks for posting this. The other day I was asked if I were pleased with the cosmetic effect of my 2 lumpectomies. I said that I had nothing to compare it with other than my 'good' breast which looks a whole lot different. But compared to some of these ladies in the video, I shouldn't complain.

This is such an amazing project! I started posting images from it on my FB page during Oct - everyone posting the latest cute pink whatever - but this is reality.

Thanks for posting that link. Yes is is an interesting response.
the video is heart breaking and uplifting at the same time.
It would be interesting to do the same type of thing with women who have had ovarian cancer - having had our bellies cut open from rib cage to pubic bone - the scars are less emotive to the general public because it is not the breast; but nonetheless - they are battle scars we all bear. And emotive to us.
Julie - thanks for the link. An interesting insight - and quite close to what I have been thinking about the pink campaigns - they are glorious...breast cancer is not. And it's not 'pink' either.
