ERCP Procedure Today

Today I’m going into the hospital for an ERCP Procedure. I’m hoping the Doctors finds some bile duct obstruction that will help explain some of what is going on. And I'm hoping everything goes well and I will be home safe and sound by this evening.

If I’m not up to blogging tomorrow, I’ll be asking D to fill in some of the details of how I’m doing.

Good luck Daria. I haven't been around much but I have been keeping up with how you are doing. Hang in there, you have been such an inspiration for me in the past.

Saw the link to your blog on bcmets and wanted to reply. I had my first ERCP in October 2009 and they did find an obstruction from my liver mets. They placed a stent and my liver enzymes improved immediately. The stent gets clogged over time and I have to have it replaced about every 8-10 weeks (through another ERCP). So far I've had 13 of them! My latest stent has lasted a long time - over 4 mos! It's made for a nice break.

Hope your procedure is uneventful.
