Dear Don and Family,

While I did not know your beloved Daria personally, I always loved reading the messages that she would leave on my dear friend Audrey's blog. She was truly an inspiration for many.

Thank you Don. It seems that you're still taking care of Daria. She is deeply missed.

I pray you find strength in the love and comfort of those who shared your love for Daria. You certainly are not alone in your grief. Yours, of course is 'special' but then again, so was your love...

Don, may you find strength in God today and beyond. You are a fine husband and Daria was blessed to have you as her caretaker. She rests now and has moved on to her heavenly home. One day we will understand it all. Daria ministered to me in so many ways with her words. I am sure you will miss her terribly. I know I will. she was blessed to be a blessing to so many. Keep strong this day. xx

At 8pm UK time it would be 1pm with yourselves. I sat and thought quietly of Daria and the gap that her passing would leave in your lives. Take strength from her strength and keep her love in your hearts. Goodbye my online friend Sisters at heart x

Dear Don:

I was most happy in 2010 as I saw the accomplishments that Daria had done. With the upmost respect, I admired her so much. To be sick with cancer and taking that last course for her HR Certification (Diploma); to go to New York and meet her sister there and to see the Lion King as she so wanted to see a Broadway Musical. She so loved that song the Circle of Life as it had so much meaning to her; to go to that conference in the states; to go to Ottawa, man she made us all proud; the interviews she had locally as well to make the world aware of her journey with Metastatic Breast Cancer. I will miss our talks in person, she was so gracious a person. She was a great example of a wonderful human being. I shall never forget her. Today my heart is filled with deep heaviness and I thought I was going to be ok at the funeral today....but I felt such deep sadness and could not stop crying. But this evening, I start thinking about the work she has done and all the bloggers out there that she has connected with and it makes me smile with gladness to have known such a person. Daria was a class act. I will carry memories of her close to my heart for the rest of my living days.

To Daria's mom and family: Beautiful Daria with most wondrous personality and amazing smile touched mine and my husband's heart. Sincere sympathy to you all.

Deepest and sincerest condolences,

Love
D and B

Dear Don and family,

Daria's influence was felt here in Laguna Niguel, CA as she and I touched base over the web. Her voice was unique, special, and inspiring to me. I have a different type of cancer but survivors know no borders when it comes to treatment and activism.

I am so sorry for your loss.
