Elevator Out Of Order

O.K. so I went to class last night and I always go early to scoop the nearest parking spot to the entrance of the college and I did.

I get into the college and my class is on the third floor. I get to the elevators and press the button with no response. When I press it again, I notice a sign saying ... elevator out of order, please use stairs ...

You want me to do what?

Oh my, how was I going to get up those stairs?

Well I had no choice so up I go one floor and sit at a nearby chair to catch my breath. Another student comes by to talk about our group project. I said to her ... you go ahead I have yet to get a coffee. I’m turning into a bit of a fibber. Anyways, I look around and no other students are coming so I do the next flight of stairs. I get up to the third floor and there is a bench there. I sat down once again to catch my breath and off to class I went.

We had a review for the exam on Wednesday and were let out early.

I went down three flights of stairs in one shot. Was it the young school girl in me, was it the energy I had or was I just so glad to get out of there ... yippee!

You are one heck of a trooper!! So many would see that sign, turn around and go home!! Good for you -- that you took it slowly!! And going down? I've always found that so much easier!! :)

Its ok to tell little fibs every now and again, sometimes its easier than explaining the truth.

I think you did really well to go up the 3 flights, what determination.

As for going downstairs....well thats always easier isnt it?

Well done Daria

It was neither the young school girl nor energy or gladness...it was gravity. ROFLOL. I'm laughing but I do sympathize with you about the weakness and hope your are soon full strength again. Bless you!

Oh man! Glad that they at least had benches nearby for you to rest on! I am guessing going down was a lot easier because it meant that you were going home!

isn't it amazing how stairs can knock the wind out of you! Exam review must mean the exam is soon (and class will be complete?) Way to go!

Oh geesh, that is too funny, but your know you are feeling better when you can laugh in the face of this whole thing. Good luck on the exam.

I actually could have probably handled the stairs more easily than the exam when I was doing chemo.

Dear Daria, nice placement of the pic and I can imagine that facial expression being perfectly appropriate for the situation! Good job on making it happen despite unexpected obstacles!! ;)

Well Daria you have more life in you than I ever did on Taxotere, that would have been completly impossible.

Good for you.

I have been through it as you know and it is fucking hell. Don't let anyone pretend it isn't and if they do, they don't know what they are talking about.

Your doing good Daria and you are going to get through this.

Love Renee xoxoxoxo

Sometimes the truth is just too complicated for casual conversation.

I'm sure the burst of energy you had at the end was the young girl in you. She's always in there somewhere!

Good for you.... I don't know how you do all these things. I am always so tired or unable to do too much...More power to you
You are great
