Last night I went to sleep at 9:00 pm and slept solid till about 3:30 in the morning. After that is was a bit choppy but still pretty good.
The next few days of the cycle have me feeling a bit worst than the other.
So for example, today I'm feeling a bit weaker, my stomach is a little upset ... not wanting to digest food. I have a heightened sense of smell. One of the smells that really turns me off is that I can smell myself ... kind of a chemoy smell. Unfortunately, even nicely scented things smell bad.
My plans are to just take it real easy.
Blogging will minimal for the next few days.

Hey Daria, just take it easy and rest, we learn to listen to our bodies more carefully don't we going through this. Thank you for reading my blog and for your positive comments. You're in my thoughts!
I found the sleepnessness really difficult as I turn into a psychopath remarkably quickly when sleep deprived.... my GP gave me sleeping tablets which I took for the few days post chemo, and found they made life much easier.
i know exactly what you mean about your own chemo smell, i couldn't stand it, I'm sure it was coming out of my pores. I kept changing t-shirts every couple of hours, and my friend gave me some peppermint oil that i just dabbed on my arm so I could try to focus on that smell and ignore all others. Hopefully some of this helps, I know how bad it is... take care.
Your in my thoughts..just rest and regroup.
Hey Daria... If you feel sleepy, go to sleep.. also put some lavender oil on your wrists to calm you and send you into a lovely slumber
you take it easy xx
When I first started chemo, my sweat smelled so bad, I couldn't stand myself-I thought it had made my aprocrine glands mutant (this was when I was adriamycin and cytoxan) By the time I got around to Taxol, my sweat glands didn't smell anymore and they still haven't come back.
I think your plans to take it easy for the next few days and keep blogging to a minimum sounds like the perfect thing for you to do right now. Always follow what your body says...rest up and be good to yourself!
Feel better!
Can you drink alcohol?
I had a few sleepless nights and just checked with my oncologist.
He OKed a glass of wine at night.
That seems nicer to me than sleeping pills!! (or staying up counting sheep)
Hi Daria
The best thing is to rest and sleep when your body tells you too, that is what I do.
Hope you feel better soon

I'm praying for some restful sleep for you over the next few days. Blessings to you.
I felt the same way that Beth does. I smelled something "off" about my own body odor. It was very sickly smelling and I hated it. I smelled like that all through chemo. Thankfully, no more. My prayers go out to all of you going through chemo and cancer treatments right now.
Hi Daria.
Just take it easy and if you can't sleep at least try to get some rest.
Listen to your body and don't overdo it.
Jill.
Oh I remember those days. UGH. Chemo is tough S*%#. But you are tougher. Sleep when you can, eat when you can, rest rest rest. Your body is fighting so much right now. {{{Gentle hugs}}}
and my plans are to send you love while you do...
Daria,
Thinking of you darling and sending you some healing prayers.

I too couldn't stand the smell ! And everybody kept telling me it was my imagination ! It does go away ! Just hang in there. You're in my thoughts. I really think getting as much rest and sleep as you can really helps. I'm glad you got some last night. If you can stand to watch tv or listen to something you could try something lighthearted and funny. I now have a library of funny dvd's - you know rom-coms, and comedians I like. Laughing, or even just smiling is very relaxing and puts me in a better place. Have you tried it ? As for not blogging so much - well you know you're my hero and that I can hardly believe how much you manage to blog. Just take care of yourself pet. It does pass.
Jill B.
Rest. Relax. Enjoy the gorgeous weather.
