Oncologist Visit

This morning I had my blood work and visited with my oncologist. Everything looks good to go for chemo tomorrow.

I have to stop at the pharmacy for my meds and that should do it. Last night was my last good sleep for awhile ... I even had an afternoon nap today. Starting tonight, I start the steroids and sleep goes out the window for a while.

My husband just mentioned it is snowing here. Sheesh!

I don't have much more to report ... I've been 'nesting' as they say.

Sure hope that swine flu gets contained soon.

Is it going to turn into a pandemic? What do you think?

Daria good luck tomorrow. I know it is a hard thing to face and that is what makes us brave, because we face it anyway.

It snowed here Saturday morning.

Love Renee xoxo

Daria,

Holly asked that I forward you this message. She wrote it as a comment on my blog "Hope".

Renee - I see you follow Living with Cancer....I tried to add a comment but kept getting kicked off. Maybe you can reach her....She is having trouble with protecting her PICC line. Please tell her that she can get an incredibly helpful little thingamajiggy called a cast protector at any drug store...It is a blue plastic sleeve with drawstrings at both ends designed to protect a cast from getting wet. I used mine every day when I showered and never had a problem with getting the PICC line wet.......thanks, Holly (http://matildamutterings.blogspot.com/)

Don't you hate steroids? Omg, I feel you. They are the bane of my existence. Those and the TPS reports at work. :) You're going to do awesome, though. You are totally a contender.

Take care, and don't worry too much about the swine flu!

I hope this bird flu gets under control, there have been two cases in Scotland. Just rest up Daria and take care of yourself. I go for my 3rd round of chemo on Thursday and am dreading it because my veins are still so sore xx
