Yesterday we stopped at the mall for coffee and a cinnamon bun. Good stuff!
Whenever I go out now, I’ve been wearing a hat instead of my wig. It feels so much more comfortable. People don’t really stare but I do think they look at me a split second longer at first. I’m kind of thinking to myself ... what took me so long?
We then headed to Sears to look at dishwashers and treadmills. I brought my Zuca bag along so whenever I got tired; I could just sit down on it. Like when the salesman was giving us the dishwasher spiel, I sat down at this dishwasher and then moved to another as he was talking. Easy breezy.

What an inspiration you are Daria! I love that you took your Zuca bag and then just sat on it as needed. Well done...it gives others the knowledge that this is a good thing!!
And yes, hats and not wigs...when I stopped wearing my wig I said the same thing as you "what took me so long?" -- glad you are feeling more comfortable this way. And those who look a split second longer or do a double take? Realize that they are looking at your beauty!!!
Cinnamon buns....mmmmm.now I can't get the thought out of my head!!! :)
Hi Daria
Glad you are out enjoying yourself....cinnamon buns....great stuff
hugs
Daria, I am losing my hair now, and I will be using bandannas tied up in a do rag. I have quite a collection from my first chemo. I know people do take second looks, but this is the comfortable way for me. I also love the knit caps in the winter.
At the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania gift shop, they sell baseball hats that say NO HAIR DAY. A lot of the women patients wore them, I love it!
Glad you had a good day, well except for the appliance shopping. I hate shopping for appliances. I love hats, they can be so much fun.
