About a week ago I received an email from a writer from WomansDay.com. She said she was working on a story for WomansDay.com about breast cancer bloggers and she wanted to include me in the article.
She said she wanted me to write something about my experience with breast cancer. Also to say something about the impact I’ve had on other breast cancer patients and the cause in general. She said she wanted my personality to shine through and to give their readers an honest view of what I’m currently going through and what I have already gone through.
I feel so honored to have been offered the opportunity to share my story on such a large stage. To see the article ... click here.

Well Daria, you certainly are becoming famous with your trip to Ottawa and now in Woman's Day. It was a great article and a good picture of you. Blogging helped keep me sane during treatment too. Where else can I express my fears? I can't really talk about them to people in person as it makes them so uncomfortable yet the fears remain even if I am silent about them.
You remain my heroine and I appreciate the support you provide me and so many others.
Daria, I've posted on my blog about the article. I hope that is okay with you. Link to here as well as link to the Woman's Day article.
You are an amazing woman...when I am at the low ebb of energy, I'm absolutely worthless in terms of accomplishing anything...and here you are traveling off to Parliament Hill and writing for magazines.
God bless you, Lady!
Sue, I know exactly what you mean ... sharing my true feelings does make others uncomfortable.
It's a bit of a balancing act ... how much to share.
WhiteStone ... it has been very tiring but it keeps my mind busy and that is important for me right now.
Thanks for re-posting the link and especially for linking back to my blog.
I was just going to e-mail you as I have been trying for hours to comment, blogger wasn't co-operatubg with me at all today.
Anyway I read your and the others articles and thought they were great. Yours is special just as you are. Hope you are well rested and taking care of yourself. I really liked the picture of you in the article. When does the new treatment start...:-)Hugs
Bernie ... my treatment starts tomorrow ... 8 hours at the clinic ... yes I said 8 hours. It's an oral chemotherapy but they need draw blood every couple of hours on the first day.
So far I've packed ... a bunch of DVD's, a book and some knitting.
Fabulous article. Have bookmarked it. Thinking of you - always.
